You have cleared Level III which is a huge accomplishment.  At Level I and Level II there might be an element of luck in passing the exam; however, at Level III the role of luck is diminished because of the structured response format.  You have to know your material to pass the exam… which you did!

It is an honor and privilege for me that you used IFT as part of the study process but I know this was only part of the equation.  The much larger reason for passing is your hard work and practice. No matter how good the prep provider material might be, it is ultimately the effort of the candidate that gets him/her to cross the Level III hurdle.  Congratulations on a job well done!

Coming now to a little update on IFT.  We have grown substantially since I first released Level I videos on YouTube in 2011.  Our customer base is over 4,000 and IFT’s product offering is expanding beyond videos to include study notes and question banks.  Unlike some of the other major players we emphasize the importance of the CFA Program curriculum and make every effort to align our content with the curriculum.  This approach has been appreciated by customers like you and by CFA Institute.

Despite our growth we are still small relative to players like Schweser.  Our goal over the next few year is to get to a level where IFT is consider a major player in the prep provider industry.  For this we will need the support of alumni like you.  I’ll make some requests now. It is completely optional and voluntary for you to accept any of the following:

  1. Given us an endorsement which will be published on our website. If you are interested we’ll share a template.  The endorsement should include: your name, city/country, picture and a short write-up on how IFT helped you through the CFA Program. Please send it via email to [email protected]
  2. Share our free videos from YouTube on your social media.  Rate us and provide a small blurb on our Facebook page.
  3. Tell others about IFT to the extent you are comfortable doing so.  Favorable comments on popular forums like www.analystforum.com, LinkedIn groups, and www.300hours.com can be extremely powerful.

We’d also be very interested in any ideas and suggestions you might have about taking IFT to the next level.

Finally, we have started a LinkedIn group for IFT alumni and students.  This is a networking forum that allows you to ask/answer questions, share job openings, ask for career advice, etc. To join this group please click here. IFT Alumni LinkedIn Group

Congratulations again on your accomplishment and thank you for your support.

Good luck.
