Level III isn’t just “Level II with more words.” Here is what you need to keep on your radar for 2026:
Pick Your Lane: You now have three specialized pathways (Portfolio Management, Private Wealth, or Private Markets). This choice accounts for 30–35% of your exam. Choose the one that actually excites you—it makes the 300+ hours of studying much easier to stomach.
The PSM Requirement: You must complete a Practical Skills Module (like Python or Private Markets Due Diligence) to even get your results. Don’t leave this for the week before the exam.
The “Essay” Trap: This is where most strong candidates stumble. The exam doesn’t want a novel; it wants precision. If a question asks you to “Identify” or “Justify,” give them exactly that. Use bullet points, stay concise, and move on. Time is your scarcest resource here.
